The loganberry plant is a hybrid of a blackberry and a raspberry. Our loganberry dessert wine is both sweet and tart, and has a long history of being produced here at Greenbank Farm, which used to be the largest loganberry farm in the United States. Last privately owned in the 1980’s and 90’s by the winery that first created the loganberry wine and spirits which gave Greenbank Farm its reputation, the historic farm was saved from becoming a large housing development when in 1997 the residents of Whidbey Island purchased the property, and it has been maintained for the enjoyment of all residents and visitors ever since.
